I was inspired by the fleece vest Jean made and decided to make one myself. I used the Simplicity Pattern 1499 which is a current pattern. I opted not to use bias binding on the hem and armholes. I'd never sewn in a separating zipper and found it was really easy to do after watching several YouTube Videos. Biggest problem was shortening the zipper. Pulling out those plastic teeth was a real pain. I used a flat head screwdriver but if anyone has a better suggestion, please put it below. I saw on Craftsy where a woman sewed tiny buttons at the top of the zipper to use as stops. I didn't have any tiny buttons but did have these beads which I think is even cooler. The fabric is from my mom's stash. So nice to have something new to wear.

Cindy,
It looks great. Great idea on the beads or buttons for zipper stops.
