Welcome to Upstate SC Chapter of the American Sewing Guild.  Our chapter was formed in 2009 by a group of ladies who shared the same passion and love for the art of sewing.

With over 100 members in our chapter, we would love to have you visit our neighborhood group meetings (dates and times listed in the box to the left) and hopefully join us as a valued member.  As a member, you can attend one or all of the meetings.  It’s a time of sharing and learning and it’s a joy to be part of a group of sewing friends that you share a passion with. This is a great networking opportunity for sewing enthusiasts, and we welcome everyone who loves to sew regardless of skill level.

• As a member of ASG, you are eligible  for lots of  perks such as discounts at some of the local sewing shops as well as national sites listed on the national website for the American Sewing Guild.
  
• We cover all aspects of sewing from garments, quilting, home decorating, crocheting, knitting, crafts, embroidery to heirloom sewing.  We grow as seamstresses by sharing our knowledge, ideas, techniques with all of our sewing friends.  All of our members are willing to help you if you have issues with sewing techniques, fabrics, sewing machines, sewing accessories, patterns or just to make your sewing more pleasurable and perfected. 
• We have workshops, sewing retreats and luncheons where we are able to fellowship and get to know our sewing friends better. 
• Our ongoing Community Projects for the hospitals and local shelters ranging from surgery caps for the children’s hospital, bereavement quilts for the hospital to bags for women’s shelters are another way we connect and give back.
